Interreg-project Watertruck

Entre 2010 et 2014, le centre d’expertise Smart Mobility (appelé à l’époque Vlaams Instituut voor Mobiliteit) a mené des recherches sur un nouveau concept pour optimiser le transport de marchandises sur les voies navigables à petit gabarit (classes CEMT I à IV). Ce concept utilise des petits pousseurs et des petites barges adaptées à la taille des voies navigables : sur les voies navigables à petit gabarit, les petites barges sont poussées par des petits pousseurs. Sur les plus grandes voies navigables, les barges peuvent être couplées et continuer à naviguer en convois.

Ce projet a deux caractéristiques principales : la séparation entre le transport en lui-même et les activités de chargement et de déchargement, et le fait que l’équipage ne devra pas vivre à bord.

Le projet a confirmé qu’un tel concept est réalisable et peut contribuer à la relance de la navigation intérieure. Vous pouvez trouver les résultats du projet sur le site Web Interreg-project Watertruck.

14/07/2016 Call for construction Watertruck+ (closed)

As a first step, certain standards will be established in order to reduce production costs and improve the interoperability of the vessels, both in terms of sailing areas and in terms of cargo type. The standard design for different sizes of barges will be developed.

As a first step in the trans-European rollout, a small fleet of (self-propelled) barges and push boats will be constructed and deployed in a large-scale trial phase, shipping a dedicated volume of cargo per year.

The first steps within the award procedure have been taken.

Deadline for receipt of candidacies is 3 p.m. on 12th August.

The results of the trial phase will be combined with a financial toolbox in order to create a Master Plan which will contain business cases for the construction and financing of a large European fleet of Watertruck+ vessels.

14/07/2016 Oproep constructie Watertruck+ (gesloten)

Als eerste stap binnen Watertruck+ worden er een aantal standaarden vastgelegd die een zekere uniformiteit en uitwisselbaarheid van deze vaartuigen garanderen en een kostendaling met zich meebrengen. Ook het standaardontwerp van de bakken wordt gemaakt.

Vervolgens zal er een kleine vloot van (zelfvarende) duwbakken en duwboten gebouwd worden om binnen een proefomgeving een opgelegd volume per jaar mee te verschepen.

De eerste stappen binnen de aanbestedingsprocedure zijn gezet.

Deadline voor ontvangst van kandidaturen is 12 augustus om 15u.

Op basis van de bevindingen uit dit proefproject zal er een masterplan opgesteld worden voor de constructie en financiering van een grote Europese Watertruck vloot.
